Why Coupler Stays Read-Only
Coupler argues that read-only is safer, and for the ad account itself that is true: a tool that cannot write cannot make a wrong change. The change still has to happen. Someone reads the recommendation in chat and makes it by hand in Ads Manager or Google Ads.
In Orphex, once changes are switched on for the workspace (50 a month on the Free plan, 500 on Action), the change the assistant recommends becomes a preview with the current values read from the platform. You confirm it, or you do not. If you want Orphex read-only, leave changes switched off for the workspace, or use the Read plan, which does not include changes.
For example: Coupler’s “waste and scale” skill tells you which ad sets to pause. On a $200K/month account you then open Ads Manager and pause eight ad sets by hand. In Orphex the same eight appear in a preview, and the readiness check can flag one the platform would refuse, for example an ad set budget under a campaign that owns the budget.
- Change
- Set ad set budget to $500/day

- Reason
- The campaign above it owns the budget
Nothing was written. Change the campaign budget instead, or move the ad set.
