Orphex vs Supermetrics

Who this page is for: For performance teams who already use Supermetrics to move ad data into Looker Studio or Sheets and are now weighing its AI and campaign tools. Both products can change your ad accounts from Claude or ChatGPT (Orphex on the Free plan (50 changes a month) or the Action plan (500), once changes are switched on for your workspace), so this page focuses on how the change is approved and what happens before and after it.

In short: Supermetrics is built to move data into BI tools and sheets, and its campaign changes are new and in early access. Orphex is built to find what changed in your Meta and Google accounts and fix it: in the Orphex web app, alerts and the Weekly Summary spot the issue and Impact Analysis measures the result; on the MCP Free or Action plan, once changes are switched on for the workspace, every change your assistant proposes runs through a preview on Orphex’s side.

Which One Fits
Choose Orphex

If your spend is mostly on Meta and Google and you want the analysis, the change and the follow-up measurement from Orphex: in the Orphex web app, alerts and the Weekly Summary find the problem and Impact Analysis shows what a change did; on the MCP Free or Action plan, with changes switched on for the workspace, every change is previewed and confirmed on Orphex’s side.

Choose Supermetrics

If you need data from many sources (174 via its MCP) delivered to Looker Studio, Sheets, Power BI or a warehouse, or you need SOC 2 Type II.

Why Teams Look for a Supermetrics Alternative

  1. An ad account can be set to “No human approval”, and then an assistant’s change goes straight to the platform.
  2. Its Insights Agent is in beta and reads one source per dashboard, so questions across channels stay manual.
  3. Nothing measures whether a change worked, so the next decision starts from a guess.

Where Orphex Is Different

Who Approves a Budget Change

Supermetrics lets you choose, per ad account, whether a human approves budget changes or new campaigns. That is flexible. It also means an account can be set to “No human approval”, and then an assistant’s change goes straight to the platform.

In Orphex, on the Free plan (50 changes a month) or the Action plan (500) and once changes are switched on for your workspace, every change has two steps. The assistant proposes the change and Orphex returns a preview with the current and new values read from the platform. Only a separate confirmation runs it, and that confirmation carries the exact preview you saw. If 15 minutes pass, the confirmation is reissued on the same preview. If you click “Always allow” for Orphex, your assistant can confirm too, so a workspace that wants a person on every change turns on the second approver: then the requester’s own approval doesn’t count.

For example: Your team spends $200K a month and wants to move 20% of Meta prospecting budget to Google Search. That is about $1,300 a day. In Orphex each budget is its own preview, old and new. If your workspace requires a second approver, the preview waits for a second person. A mistyped “200%” shows up in the preview before anything is written.

Where the Data Ends Up

Supermetrics’ core job is moving data: 174 sources into Looker Studio, Sheets, Power BI, warehouses and AI chats. Its Insights Agent answers “why” questions, and it is still in beta with one source per dashboard (as of September 2026).

Orphex starts from the question a media buyer asks on a Monday: what changed, and what should I do about it. In the Orphex web app, anomaly detection runs without anyone asking, and alerts check yesterday’s data and reach Slack, email, WhatsApp or Teams the next morning. The Weekly Summary lands every week.

For example: Meta CPA jumps on a Tuesday. With a data pipe, you find out when someone opens the dashboard. With the Orphex web app, the alert reaches the team’s Slack channel on Wednesday morning. The team then asks its assistant for the next step (for example, lowering the budget on the ad set that drove the jump), and on the Free or Action plan, with changes switched on for the workspace, it comes back as a preview.

Measuring Whether the Change Worked

A change is a guess until you measure it. We did not find an impact-measurement feature in Supermetrics (as of September 2026).

Impact Analysis in the Orphex web app estimates what would have happened without a change and shows the difference. It uses credits per detected effect, with a credit cap shown before it runs.

For example: Two weeks after the 20% shift from the first example, Impact Analysis estimates what Google Search and Meta prospecting would have done without the move and compares that with what happened, so the next budget decision starts from a measurement instead of a feeling.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can Supermetrics change my campaigns?

Yes. As of September 2026 its MCP can create, update, pause and change budgets on seven ad platforms, in beta and early access. You choose per ad account whether changes need approval.

What does Orphex do that Supermetrics does not?

On the Free plan (50 changes a month) or the Action plan (500), with changes switched on for the workspace, every change is previewed and confirmed on Orphex’s side, with no “no approval” mode. A readiness check can test a change without proposing it, and in the Orphex web app, Impact Analysis measures the result. Supermetrics has more data sources and destinations.

Is Orphex cheaper?

It depends on what you compare. Orphex MCP starts at $0 and includes 50 changes a month on Free and 500 on Action at $149.99/month, once changes are switched on for your workspace. Web app packages are priced on request. Supermetrics starts at €49/month, and adding an AI chat to a Looker Studio setup counts as a second destination (+€187/month on Growth, as of September 2026).

Do changes in Orphex cost credits?

No. On MCP plans, reads, previews, approved changes, undo and creating campaigns cost no credits. In the Orphex web app, Creative AI shows its credit cost first, Impact Analysis shows a credit cap and charges per detected effect, and each Orpheus message uses 1 to 3 credits.

Can you help us set up if we come from Supermetrics?

Yes. Our team helps you connect your ad accounts and get set up. Book a demo to start.
